The Optical Heritage Museum is home to thousands of pieces of historical optical equipment. From the smallest frame to the largest piece of testing equipment - each item represents a key moment in history, along it’s journey to where as an industry, we are today.
Many people have been fortunate enough to acquire these pieces of history and treasure them dearly, but many people simply have no space for them. At the museum, we welcome the chance to display this history for all those who seek it.

The Optical Heritage Museum celebrates nearly 350 years of combined Optical expertise, research and artifacts from American Optical, ZEISS & SOLA Optical. As a not-for-profit organization the Optical Heritage Museum relies on the generosity of partners and benefactors such as ZEISS, it’s visitors and valued friends.
